Community Scholarship

Community Scholarship

Stella Maris Academy is the unified school of St. James, Holy Rosary, St. John's the Evangelist and St. Michael's - Lakeside. The amount of money available for community scholarship is determined annually by the school and parish finance councils. Stella Maris Academy recognizes the commitment and sacrifice that families make to finance tuition. In our mission to make Catholic education obtainable, there is a need-based community scholarship program available. This is made possible through the generous support of our local parishes, the academy’s endowment funds, Adopt-A-Student Program, and the generosity of our alumni and donors.

Community scholarship is handled in a private and confidential manner. We use the nationwide program Smart Tuition Aid Analysis, to evaluate all applications using the same criteria and state-of-the-art security that protects each applicant's information.

Applications can be completed on-line at www.smarttuitionaid.com. Based on the academy’s total available community scholarship and the SMART calculation, recommendations are made. Applications are due May 1st and require a copy of IRS Tax Form 1040, recent pay stubs and other supporting documentation. See parent instructions here. Applicants are informed of the tuition assistance amount allocated by May 15th.

If you would like more information on tuition assistance, please complete our online request form. We are happy to provide you with more information to help you as you make an important decision in selecting the right fit for your child's education.
