mySMA, our school information system, is used to connect families with the Stella Maris Academy community. The portal provides access to day-to-day information, events, volunteer activities, and student reports such as attendance, grades and connection with your students' teachers. This is Stella Maris Academy's internal communication system from teacher-to-home and campus-to-home. Parents can also access their tuition and food service accounts directly from the Resources page of mySMA and be automatically logged in without having to know another username and password.

Family Association

If you have a child enrolled at Stella Maris Academy, then you are part of our Family Association. The purpose of the Stella Maris Family Association (SMFA) is to support and advance the school's mission.  Through teacher and classroom support, enhancing the student and family experience, supporting faith formation, service activities and fundraising, we witness to the gift of self through volunteerism and the benefit of a connected community.

Family Association leadership works together to foster continuity among our campuses, while each campus has a Family Association Lead to cultivate campus-specific support.

Uniforms

The school uniform reflects the spirit of Stella Maris Academy by fostering an environment that supports the pursuit of academic excellence and the spiritual, moral, and social growth of the students. The school uniform serves to unify the student body, and is an outward expression of the mission of Stella Maris Academy.

+ Uniform Dress Code

School uniforms are to be worn daily with exceptions determined by the school president or campus principal.

Uniforms are to be properly worn: tucked in, neat, clean and mended. Hats or caps may not be worn in the building. Hairstyles and jewelry must be simple and modest and hair must be a natural color. Jewelry can include earrings, necklaces, finger rings and bracelets. Extreme makeup, visible tattoos, or body piercings are not allowed. These expectations will be enforced on non-uniform days, as well as regular uniform days.

Students who are not in compliance with the dress code will call home for the approved uniform.

+ Non-Uniform Day Dress Code

Non-uniform days, including Spirit Wear days, will be scheduled throughout the course of the year. Students must demonstrate neatness, cleanliness, modesty, and pride in their appearance on non-uniform days. Examples of clothing that are not acceptable are:

  • Ripped or torn clothing
  • Shorts or skirts that are shorter than mid-thigh
  • Yoga pants or leggings without a skirt/skort/jumper
  • Hats

+ Buying Guide

Stella Maris Academy recommends parents purchase uniforms from either Lands’ End or Donald’s. These two vendors have a specific list of uniform styles (cut, color and material) that are acceptable. Uniforms purchased at other stores or resources must match the uniform requirements and be identical in cut, color and material to the items offered at the stores above.
